Одна дама говорит:"Вы знаете, я становлюсь очень забывчивой. Сегодня утром я стояла наверху лестницы и не могла вспомнить, то ли я только что поднялась, то ли собиралась спускаться." One lady says, "You know, I'm getting very forgetful. This morning, I was standing at the top of the stairs, and I couldn't remember whether I had just come up or was about to go down." Вторая дама говорит: "Вы считаете, что это плохо? Я на днях сидела на краю своей постели и не могла вспомнить, то ли я собиралась ложиться спать, то ли только что проснулась!" The second lady says, "You think that's bad? The other day, I was sitting on the edge of my bed, and I couldn't remember whether I was going to sleep or had just woken up!" Третья дама самодовольно улыбается. The third lady smiles smugly. "Ну, моя память такая же хорошая, как была всегда, постучите по дереву!" - говорит она, постукивая по столу. "Well, my memory is just as good as it's always been, knock on wood", she says as she raps on the table. А затем спрашивает с удивлённым выражением лица:"Кто там?"
