The new class

Однажды учитель приветствовал свой новый класс.

One day a teacher was greeting his new class.

Он встал перед классом и спросил, есть ли в классе идиоты, и если да, они должны встать.

He stood up in front of the class and asked if there were idiots in the class, and if they were, they should stand.

Через минуту поднялся молодой человек.

After a minute a young man stood up.

Тогда профессор спросил парня, не думает ли он и на самом деле, что он - идиот.

The professor then asked the kid if he actually thought he was an idiot.

Парень ответил: "Нет, я просто не хотел видеть Вас стоящим там в одиночку."

The kid replied: "No, I just didn't want to see you standing there all by yourself"
